It is a scary time for our world as we grapple with the reality that is COVID-19 and the impact is is having on our way of life. We are sheltering in place here in Austin, Texas and in this episode we share what are new normal looks like.

What we talked about:

  • What our living situation is

    • Yesterday (3/24) was our first day under the county’s shelter in place orders.

    • However, we have been social distancing for over a week now.

  • How work is going

    • For Ashley, it has now become a little slower time. Much of her time was to be spend planning two events in April that are now postponed or canceled.

    • For Billy, work has been the same level of busyness. He is assisting a lot of his clients navigate COVID-19, move to virtual work, and beginning to analyze budgets for cuts.

    • With the extra time at home, we are spending a lot of time on creating some content here and on our blog for you!

  • What else we have been doing

    • Spending time with our 6-month-old. He is crawling and moving nonstop, We have also introduced solids so it seems like we are feeding him nonstop between bottle feeds and now solids.

    • Getting outdoors! We are so fortunate to have good weather and a yard right now. We love grilling, playing basketball (HORSE), our just laying in our blanket.

    • Attacking all those random chores we said we would do someday! Someday is now. We moved some furniture, washed all our outdoor pillows & cushions, next is fixing our Nest thermostat.

    • Lots of games and no extra tv time. Well, Billy bought a surprise Playstation 4 so that has added to tv time. Our favorite games are the ones where we compete together. Ashley isn’t great so it provides a lot of laughs. We have also started playing Heads Up for the first time in YEARS.
